What if the HackerTube website is not working?
Confirm the official address, reload once and compare a fresh browser profile or another browser. If a clean profile works, investigate site-specific settings or an extension conflict. Keep existing site data while diagnosing because deleting it can remove saved lists. Do not bypass certificate warnings.
What if HackerTube videos or filters are not working?
For one failed video, open its YouTube link. If it is unavailable there too, the catalog cannot restore it. For empty results, remove filters one at a time. If a feature fails in multiple browsers, record the URL, action, time and error text. A local symptom is not a confirmed worldwide outage.
Choose the next check by symptom
| Symptom | Next check |
|---|---|
| Blank page | Compare a clean profile and check script settings. |
| One video fails | Open YouTube and compare another upload. |
| Saved list is empty | Check domain, profile and private-session status. |
| No results | Remove filters before assuming a search failure. |
Keep extension tests specific to the affected site and restore settings afterwards. Clearing all browser data is not a necessary first step.
